Why I Started My Career In Event Planning

Hi There! My name is Mykenzie. If you don’t know me, a few things I love are going to the beach, hanging out my gray cat, Hatley, and puzzling on rainy days.

I found my passion for event coordinating in 2024 when I was he Maid of Honor at my best friends wedding. Since it was a more intimate event, I picked up a lot more duties than I expected. Through the process, I realized how much I enjoyed connecting with vendors, running important errands, building a schedule and ensuring it was followed through, solving problems as they came along, and most importantly, keeping my best friend was stress free on the most important day of her life!

After that day, I thought a lot about how I could turn my newly found skills into a career, and though a great deal dedication and ample support from family and friends, Raney Day Planning was born!

Now that my business is off the ground, I am dedicated to helping brides and event hosts in need of someone they can count on-who is hard working, detail oriented, and follows through with every task at hand.
